Bartholomew Degryse is a rock located in the Barren Wasteland, first seen during "Post Man". Salad Fingers calls it "my oldest chum", which means that Bartholomew could've been a real person and that their relationship started before "Friends". Salad Fingers also said that "hopefully legal troubles are behind you", which may indicate that Bartholomew Degryse (or the person who Salad Fingers thinks the rock is), may have committed crimes in the past.
