Post Man is the twelfth episode in the Salad Fingers series.

Plot[]

Out in the Barren Wasteland, Salad Fingers is dressed as a postman and delivers letters to a tree, a rock named Bartholomew Degryse, and a drain. After delivering a bundle of blackened bones to a dead tree stump, he returns to the "post office" (which is actually a rusted car door). There, he sees a rotting dog carcass laying on it, whom Salad Fingers sees as a beautiful girl and initiates a courtship.

While Salad Fingers, now dressed in a suit and wearing a dead rat as a toupee, waits for his date, Hubert Cumberdale appears and is reprimanded for "tagging along". In response, Hubert's face briefly morphs into a more semi-realistic style and asks Salad Fingers why must he "keep so many secrets". Salad Fingers ignores Hubert and spots the dog carcass (unmoved from the car door), surrounded by crows. He scolds and shoos them away before picking up the carcass and complimenting it.

In the next scene, Salad Fingers has moved the date to another area, having hung up the carcass on a tree branch. He asks the carcass to talk about itself, to which the carcass replies by breathing out a green gas. After Salad Fingers speaks lovingly to the carcass, a number of green tentacles sprout from the ground around his feet and crawl up his legs, causing him to moan with pleasure. The corpse's head slumps down and Salad Fingers pushes up the corners of its mouth, remarking "You're not fully dressed without a smile!" When the same crows from before appear again, Salad Fingers remarks that they are "looking and judging" out of jealousy and decides to move the date elsewhere.

A montage of the two characters out in the area plays, then the scene shows Salad Fingers suddenly waking up in his bed next to the corpse. He exclaims that the current setting isn't right, crying that the carcass is "half [his] age". An unseen creature scratches at his front door while he laments, and the carcass audibly says something unintelligible in a distorted voice. After the scratching stops, a letter (having been pushed under the door) is seen. Salad Fingers reads it silently and is affected.

Salad Fingers carries the carcass to the dead tree stump shown at the start of the episode and sadly breaks up with it. The tree stump shudders and a second dog, this one with a baby's head crudely attached to its neck stump, emerges. Salad Fingers laments that the carcass "won't be the next Mrs. Fingers" while the baby-headed dog drags it back into the tree stump.
